About DCAB

The Diavik Communities Advisory Board (DCAB) was formed under the Socio-Economic Monitoring Agreement (SEMA) in 1999. The role of DCAB is to review and monitor the social and economic impacts of the Diavik Diamond Mine on our communities. While monitoring the impacts, DCAB provides recommendations to the communities, government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) and Diavik Diamond Mine Inc. (DDMI). DCAB’s 2004-05 Annual Report lists the first set of recommendations passed. Please visit our site soon for the responses/ follow up of these recommendations.
